    Put on your dancing shoes and shake off those mud-season blues! This evening brings together some of best bands from the area, guaranteed to get your toes tapping and put a smile on your face. A Caribbean food truck will be serving starting from 6pm.

    Artists include:

    Healing Love Water is a consortium of musicians from in and around Otsego County with the mission of spreading positivity and joy through music. Core members Shira Small (vocals/songwriter) and Adam Cooper (guitars/composer) are frequently joined by Yolanda Bush, (vocals, songwriter, percussion, drums), Khalil Jade (vocals/songwriter), Sara Albright (vocals), Elizabeth Graham (violin), Michael McGuane (vocals/percussion), Steve Eisenberg (whistles/flutes), Slava Yasser (guitar/vocals/percussion/flute), Chris Riffle (guitar, songwriter), Chris Ritter, aka Critter (drums). Healing Love Water is the title track of their upcoming album in addition to being the band’s band. Listen here!

    Matt Whyte, who uses music as a direct tool for progressive activism in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and musicians committed to the peace movement during the folk revival of 1960s.

  • Timber Frame Workshop

    July 10, 11, and 12, 2026

    An age-old craft used around the world, timber-framing produces structures of exceptional structural durability and aesthetic appeal. Artworks is partnering with the Timber Framers Guild to construct a traditional timber-frame outdoor stage next to the historic Star Theater. Over three days, community members will have the opportunity to learn traditional joinery while helping build a permanent performance space for theater, music, lectures, and community events. The build will culminate in a public timber-frame raising celebration.

  • Collage Workshop With Mark Mastroianni

Acclaimed mixed-media artist Mark Mastroianni will guide workshop participants as they select, alter and manipulate two-dimensional materials, both natural and manmade, through a journey of trial and error, discovery and acceptance. No experience required.

  • Eat the Document Songbook

    Acclaimed novelist Dana Spiotta wrote EAT THE DOCUMENT, Eat the Document — a story of activism, sacrifice, and the cost of living a secret — while living and working in Cherry Valley. The story of activists in the 1970s and 1990s inspired an opera that premiered as part of the 2025 PROTOTYPE Festival (NYC), with a recording out on Bright Shiny Things in May 2026. Soprano Natalie Trumm and pianist Mila Henry, joined by special guests, perform singles from the new opera in this cabaret-style performance.
